Rwanda is a pretty stable Central African country, and simply reachable from Kenya and Uganda, it is comparatively easy, safe and simple to travel around. It is non-coastal, bordered by Uganda to the north, Tanzania to the east, Burundi to the south, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. Rwanda has also other tourist sites through the country including National Museum of Butare, swimming stations on numerous lakes of which the main one is Lake Kivu on the western border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. Rwanda has three national parks: Akagera National Park in the East; Volcanoes National Park in the North;  Nyungwe National Park in the South-West. Cities: * Kigali * Butare * Gisenyi * Gitarama * Kibungo * Kibuye * Ruhengeri.

Food: The local goat kebabs are appetizing and are offered in most bars and restaurants. Many restaurants also supply grilled fish and chicken, and frites and fried plantain are omnipresent. Kigali has a much better range of restaurants than the rest of the country. Here you can find several Indian and Chinese restaurants, as well as Italian, Greek, French and multi cuisine establishments charging around $10 for dinner. Drink: Bralirwa in the north of the Rwanda produces most of the beer and soft drinks available in Rwanda. Note that Rwandan's are known for their keenness for large beers.

Sleep: Lodging is generally fairly basic and considerably more costly than adjoining Uganda and Tanzania. Very basic accommodation will cost $8-$20. Movie buffs hoping stay in the film set will be dissatisfied though, as the film was produced in South Africa. Most hotels in Kigali are in the $50 and above range although there are a few bargains to be had if you look around.
